Portugal Nomads takes you on an unforgettable adventure along the coast of Portugal, one of the most beautiful road trip destinations in Europe. We organize this trip with a team of passionate travelers, adventurers, and locals who all share one thing in common: a deep love for Portugal.

Our goal is to help you discover the adventurous side of Portugal, from iconic surf spots to hidden coves and everything in between. We know the destination inside and out and are excited to take you on a journey along the west coast and the sunny Algarve.

The story behind Portugal Nomads

2010 – The beginning of a dream
Our search for adventure began with a road trip to Barcelona in 2010. Since then, our mission with Travelbase has been to create the most adventurous trips. One thing soon became clear: Portugal was calling… 🌍

Our search for the perfect road trip destination
After the success of our road trips through Scandinavia, we started looking for a road trip destination in southern Europe. We settled on a region we already knew, but whose diversity and charm completely amazed us all over again.

Algarve, Portugal
Stretching along endless beaches, rugged cliffs and charming villages, the Algarve in Portugal was an easy choice, offering the perfect mix of adventure, nature and culture.

Our own vans
After a successful 2025 season with an external rental partner, but with room for improvement when it came to the vans, we decided to buy our own. Since 2026, our very own Portugal Nomads minivans have been cruising along Portugal's coastal roads!
